She is Nikki James, weighing in at 250 pounds. Her greatest achievement was when she accepted Christ into her life. United with that would be the success of her wonderful husband and beautiful children. Nikki and her husband support and share Azwan (6), Xavier (2) and Trinity (10 months). She acclaims these are indeed the loves of her life!

In addition to her family achievements, she and her husband own and operate a successful catering business called MoeNikki’s. Together, they started their enterprise from the ground up, never having taken out a single loan or accepting outside assistance. Their flavor comes together they way they do, reflecting each of their roots. Their menue specializes in Carribbean and Italian dishes. They recently signed papers for their first building and look forward to having a fully stocked kitchen by spring 2010!

She is Jessica M Main, weighing in at 295 pounds and moving outward into society with her certification as a Reiki Practitioner / Healer. She is being recognized for her greatest achievements which continue to impact her family. Ms. Main has actively brought up two beautiful daughters as sole provider, dishwasher, ‘garbage man’, bill payer, diaper changer and "ouchie-boo-boo" fixer, nursing her girls through times of illness. Ms. Main has embraced her role as parent, supporting the need for her children to have a Mommy, Daddy, and House Keeper. Through it all, she maintained a level head while pursuing her goals to become a Certified Reiki Practitioner. In addition to working in the field of healing, she has been hired as an activities coordinator at a local rest home.

"On April 16, 2008, Ms. Rachel E. Milano, weighing in at 247 pounds and being 5' 7" tall, pushed an 825 pound covered wagon 250 miles to bring greater awareness to the issues surrounding child abuse and neglect. Ms. Milano staked a flag for every mile she pushed through, in loving memory of her sister, Heather and all those who passed away in the circumstances of child maltreatment. The 1000 foot climb continues to inspire countless survivors of traumatic experiences to focus on victim recovery in an effort to prevent lineal cycles of abuse. The journey took six weeks - five days, impacting thousands along the way. Her monumental feat was completed June 2, 2008 and has now become known as 'The Historic Walk of Love'. This humanitarian, anthropologist, public speaker. author and artist encourages you to thrive in the place in which you survive!"

The Makings Of BBWoW!

The funny thing is... BBWoW hit me like a ton of bricks... and they call us the "brick house"! I was sitting back, watching Monique's show late at night and thought to myself... we BBW's have made some SERIOUS accomplishments! Yet I have noticed that we sell ourselves short when it concerns what we are capable of achieving! The YouTube and viral videos mainly display our lower level assests and yet fail to honor us as women or as women of greatness!

In my moment of feminine pride, considering my own successes and that of the BBW I knew, the thought of having one place where we could collectively honor and inspire one another took over my mind. I shared my idea with a friend who said, "you mean like a BBWOW... Big Beautiful Women of Worth?" I shouted... "YES! That is EXACTLY what I mean! One place that serves to highlight and accentuate the genuine beauty of a big beautiful woman... especially her ability to break through the barriers of society and leave imense impacts where others have barely left a dent! The rest is history.

I've been calling on my BBW sisters to come here and help the growing process of this society. We hope to make this one central place, a society, where Big Beautiful Women of Worth can come and share their success stories and talk about the impact they are making and continue to make on their familes and communities. WE ARE HERE! And we ARE making an even BIGGER impact in our community both on and offline.

May the message of our excellence be heard around the world! I hope to be able to post the bio's of some MARVELOUS Women of Worth here on this link... people who have never given up the fight for their lives, who live their purposes, who strive for true greatness EVERYDAY, who never let the gloom result in doom and who above all, represent quality of life!,
